hello!
Are you looking for creativity, curiosity and courage? Here I am.
I’m a career shifter, with over ten years of work life experience in the field of Sign Language interpreting and a lifetime interest in all forms of arts and creativity.
Service Designer Kate: I finally found the perfect field to incorporate my many interests and skills. I’m absolutely in love with design thinking and co-creation. I’ve always had a passion for doing some good in the world and this can be my way.
My strengths are in team work, facilitation, research, continuous curiosity and bravely venturing to the unknown. I’m honing my skills in leadership and project management as well as catching every opprotunity possible to deepen my skills in facilitation and accessibility design.
I tend to take a birds-eye view to understand larger ecosystems and connections. I have a growing interest in futures thinking, startegic design and social innovation.
Creative Kate: I’ve been writing little stories and illustrating them since childhood. I attended a performing arts high school and for sometime I thought of becoming an actor. Even during my interpreting years my creative side has been bursting out in poems, croquis-drawings and small illustration projects. Now my creative outlet is mostly illustration, but I have other artistic projects from time to time.
Academic Kate: Alongside creativity I’ve fallen for research and academia. I completed my MA in an international EUMASLI-programme and a secret wish of mine is to later in years finish a PhD combining insights from the interpreting, design and artistic fields. I’ve spent a lot of time interpreting in the academic settings as well and it has certainly rubbed off on me.
